Democratic Rally at Medford and Cape Cod for Hancock English

The Medford rally opened with torchlit Hancock supporters marching from West Medford to town hall, where Charles Levi Woodbury spoke of Garfield’s decline and Hancock’s rise, urging free suffrage and economic reform. Cape Cod events featured large crowds, Pacific Cape leaders praising Hancock and English, with speeches, resolutions, and marching bands.
