William Runyan a farmer and his wife were found dead in their Millville residence with throats cut from ear to ear. They appeared to have been dead about a week. Some say Runyan killed his wife before taking his own life, others suspect marauding tramps. A knife lay in the bed. no struggle evident. Bunyan, 25, and his wife, 20, were described as living happily.
The Junction City Ohio post office was broken into and all postal notes numbered 7 to 500 were stolen along with the punch and office stamp. Public warned not to receive and postmasters not to redeem any postal notes from Junction City of those numbers.
