Auto kills and maims at Arden hillside
Dr Edward C Rushmore of the Tuxedo colony was fatally injured and his niece Miss Cornelia Herrick of Southampton was killed in an automobile accident at Arden New York. As the car climbed a steep incline power failed and the brake would not work sending the machine down a 60 foot embankment. Herrick died instantly and Rushmore was in critical condition.

Wife Dies From Beating as Dermody Held on Murder Charge
Mrs Anna Dermody 33 of 974 area avenue is dying at City Hospital from a ruptured spleen after being kicked in the abdomen allegedly by husband James Dermody who is in custody at Station 9.
