A Boston letter by Edward Atkinson, dated Sept. 9, 1896, answers questions from Mr. Levi Furbush of the Workingmen's Information Bureau. He argues against fixing silver to gold by law, explains coinage value, notes silver dollars’ market value, and defends the gold standard's role in stable trade.
