Two Drowned Off Beachmont In Rowboat Capsize

Two men, Daniel Devlin of Charlestown and John Callahan of the North End, died when their rowboat capsized off Ocean Pier Beachmont. Devlin, 34, sailed to Chelsea Street, Charlestown, with a brother in the Pavers Union. Callahan, 32, a laborer for Boston Electric Light, lived at 7 Samoset Place with his wife. his wife was away in Revere at the time. Search continued after dusk, with a buoy placed to aid morning recovery efforts.
