Peabody's Australian Line Announces Melbourne Passage

The notice states the Hazard and Stone ships will sail to Melbourne on or before September 25 from India Wharf Perth and that no extensions beyond September 21 will be offered. For freight or passage contact Renry W. Peabody 11 Liberty Square and agents News Co and Brooks's Australian Line. The Solomon is also advertised for Melbourne direct carrying the U.S. Mail from Commercial Wharf.

From Union wharf this day the brig MARY & ROWLAND commanded by Rowland sails with most of her cargo engaged for Savannah. The first vessel at the wharf is the clipper brig FANNY Wick master with four large portions of cargo engaged and going aboard. Also listed are the brig LIZABEL Panno master half cargo engaged and ready for cargo, with Ray & Walter agents in Charleston for mobile service.

A Radical account claims the Georgia Legislature, excluding black members, voted nearly even between Radicals and Democrats. Upon expelling the negro members by 80 to 23, about forty Radicals allegedly supported expulsion.
