Swampscott Fire Destroys Ocean House With 60 Guests

At 5 45 P M a blaze in Swampscott from a small hand engine left the 3 1 2 story Blaney house a total loss. By 7 30 P M the Ocean House hotel on Humphrey Street burned with no water supply though aid from nearby towns arrived. Firefighters saved furniture. Ocean House valued at 100000 dollars with 40000 dollars insured. About 250 guests this summer, 60 inside at the time. watchman Albert Hasson lost overcoat watch and 60 dollars. Cause undetermined though not believed to be from Disney house fire.
