The Democrats of Massachusetts are asked to elect delegates to a Worcester convention on September 21 at 10 A M to nominate State officers and conduct business. Representation is one delegate per city or town plus one for every 25 votes for the Democratic Governor candidate. a majority fraction wins. Delegates receive admission tickets with credentials. the State Committee meets at Bay State House the day before.

September Criminal Session Opens and Local Cases Heard
The September term of the court for criminal business opened on Monday before Judge Brigham. The grand jury, after being sworn by Assistant District Attorney French, began examining cases. In the police court, Mary A. McGraw was fined five dollars and costs for stealing one boot from J. B. Lincoln’s shoe store valued at 125 dollars. Julia Shuckereaux was fined five dollars and costs on each count for assault and battery on Catherine Howard and Julius Howard. James McConnor was sent to the House of Correction for three months for stealing two blue capes worth eight dollars from Joseph Seavey.
