Frightened Team Crashes Into Auto on Busy Street
John A. Denton of Lincoln and his 14 year old daughter Viola were seriously injured when a farm wagon loaded with produce, drawn by frightened horses, careened down Beacon Street and collided with a stationary automobile in front of the Parker House on School Street. The wagon tonneau was crushed and the pair were thrown to the street under the horses feet.

About 1 o clock a street crowd witnessed a Beavons Street downgrade accident where a wagon’s damaged spreader chains caused by the slope broke, the wagon toppled, and a load of horses and Denton and his daughter were trapped. Denton and daughter were helped by bystanders and emergency crews at the Parker House as Mayor Curley and Mrs. Curley assisted.

Parade of Allied Flags at Greater Boston Labour Day Picnic
