The Press C. C. committee has nearly finished preparations for what promises to be the greatest cycling race meet in the country with a 500 entry list. Top riders Bald Sanger Butler Cooper Gardiner and Cabanne are among the entrants plus many Amateur stars from New England. Heats start at 10 A.M. and afternoon races at 2 P.M. Tickets available from members or grandstand seats from Hurd at 38 West Street. A Labor Day event at Wayside Park features a bicycle tournament with a long battery of riders and a 15-mile Taunton course race with detailed handicap marks announced by official Charles G. Percival.

Watkins Land & Mortgage Company of Lawrence in receivership for four and a half million dollars in largely debenture mortgages across Kansas Nebraska Iowa and Texas. Receiver appointees include M.
