The layout included wheelwright and blacksmith shops a finishing room and a loft with twelve finished vehicles. Total losses about 7 600 with 6 500 insured in five companies. Incendiary suspected. In Canada fires have devastated farm property valued at 150 000 with sixty families homeless and $200 voted for relief. A separate blaze on Glenmere Street in Lynn damaged a dwelling owned by G H Tucker, insured, with losses between 1 000 and 1 500.

Boston and Albany Opens New Passenger Station Sunday
The Boston and Albany railroad moved into its new passenger station on Sunday with the first train at 6 o'clock. The crowd gathered to see the western express Modoc depart and the Newton Lower Falls arrival at 6:40. The station, built since spring 1880, features a three story brick structure with granite trim, a central court, cherry woodwork, and a large skylight. The train house spans 444 by 1181 feet with six tracks, electric lighting, and planned street widening and canopies to cover sidewalks.
