Conductor Severely Hurt on Chelsea Bridge

Conductor O. C. Tibbetts, 27, was collecting fares on a Lynn and Bogton street railroad car when he lost his grip and fell from the running board on Chelsea bridge in Charlestown. He suffered a bad scalp wound and possible skull fracture, was treated at Station 15 by Dr. Broderick, and transported by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital. Tibbetts resides on Harris Street in Revere.

Drowning of Herbert Marsh on Boston & Maine Train Route

A 12 year old, Herbert Marsh of 3387 Spruce Street, drowned near Chelsea after entering water while bathers gathered close to the sewer pumping station along the Boston & Maine railroad. He swam with a corked tin can for buoyancy, lost his hold, and disappeared. police recovered the body later the same day.
