Federal free employment bureau to ease Boston jobless problem
Washington officials announced yesterday the establishment of a federal free employment bureau in Boston to address the unemployed immigrant issue. Immigration commissioner Harry J. Skeffington received word to proceed, making Boston home to the second such bureau after New York which has had one since 1907.

Brockton Couple to Wed Tomorrow at St Patrick’s Rectory

Boy Drowns Bathing at Charles River Basis Near Harvard Bridge
Edward W. Foley 19 of Roxbury died after diving into seven feet of water at a prohibited bathing area along the Cambridge side of the Charles River Basin near Harvard Bridge. Fellow swimmer Greville Haslan of Derry NH attempted a rescue but was unable to save him.

Drowned Man Drowns in Revere Surf
James P. Moore of 20 Ellis Avenue Lynn drowned in the surf off Oak Island Revere last night at nine. Heat drove him to the harbor for relief and heart trouble is believed to have caused the death. He was a puttonhole worker visiting his son in Revere and disappeared while wading near shoulder depth. Beachgoers pulled him from the water and he was taken to the Metropolitan Police Station emergency room for treatment.

Drowning of Gordon Hartley Sparks Tragic Saugus Incident
Gordon Hartley 13 son of Harrison Hartley of Seminole Street disappeared while swimming in Pranker's pond. His clothing was found on the pond bank and his body was sighted in shallow water. Police believe a convulsion caused the tragedy.
