Durham minister charged with misappropriating church funds

The Rev Chester H Sweet former pastor of the Durham Congregational Church was charged with misappropriating church and society funds. He was arraigned before a justice of the peace, held for trial in the Superior Court, and given bond. He is about 39 years old and married, arrested in New Haven earlier today and brought to Durham for a hearing. He served in Durham from Boston for about a year, leaving last February.
