Switchman Arrested After Derailment Death

Clinton reports Thomas Lindsey arrested on a charge of causing the death of Italian water boy Joseph Eich, 18, employed by Nann and Brock on the Wachusett reservoir project. The incident followed a partially set switch, derailing an empty train and crushing Eich between the cab and loaded cars as engineers stayed at their posts. Eich’s body was recovered after hours in the debris.

13 Killed In Rear End Collision At Hatfield

A massive rear end collision near Hatfield killed 13 people and injured many more aboard a milk and an excursion train.
