In North Adams two accidents mar the muster. Edward Everett Hill of Williamstown collapsed with sunstroke during the playout of the Alerts of Winchendon winners, dying area, condition critical. A second man is reported dying from injuries.

Fatal Train Collision Affects Muster Crowd

An unidentified middle aged man fleeing a crash was struck and killed by a freight train of the Boston Maine railroad near the muster area as crowds dispersed. In other events the Alerts won 300 dollars for a 224 foot stream, F M Smith Co 150 dollars for 219 feet, Chicopee Veteran Firemen’s Association 75 dollars for 218 feet, Edward A Whiting Co 50 dollars for 218 feet, and W A Bailey Co of Northampton received 85 dollars for a similar distance.

Record 20 000 at L Street Baths with incident free day
