To the Editor of the Post the Amalgamated Association in Pittsburg sends greeting to Boston brethren. It pledges to pursue settlement and continued existence in honor or face being the first victim of aggregated capital. Signed T. J. Shaffer.
A 2000 strong labor union parade leads through Commonwealth Avenue at 10 30 AM while Knights of Labor and Sixty Ninth Regiment parades follow at 10 AM and 2 PM respectively. Baseball at South End grounds and American League grounds features multiple matchups. Yacht regattas and water sports fill the day with numerous clubs from Hull to Marblehead. Athletic meets, golf and aquatics events are listed along with a veterans reunion and state convention notices.
The notice lists multiple parade routes starting from Huntington Avenue to Post Office Square and through major streets including Tremont Boylston Beacon and Washington. Governor Crane and Mayor Hart are set to review at designated spots such as the State House and City Hall with an evening parade on Commonwealth Street.

Eyewitness reports from Boston area hospitals and private physicians describe a rising number of eye injuries caused by sparks from the elevated railway third rail. Dozens of workers and passengers, including Boston Northern lines staff, report sharp eye pain and temporary or lasting damage, with cases requiring days off and medical treatment.
Patrolman John Worsdale of Division 10 collapsed on the Huntington Avenue beat near Brookline, apparently from apoplexy. Found on Kilby Page’s piazza, no foul play shown. he served since 1900 after British Army service and hosemaking before joining the police. He was married with three children.
A historic storm struck Cleveland with heavy rain from 2 am to 10 am, flooding eight miles of the east side and causing about 1 million dollars in losses. Homes were inundated one to six feet deep, bridges and culverts destroyed, and life-saving crews aided dozens of trapped residents. No lives were reported lost.
A 50-year-old woman, richly dressed with diamond earrings, was found paralyzed at the Sullivan Square Elevated Station and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. She bore a Waltham to Stony Brook ticket and a letter signed Jennie Knapp but no identifying details. Police seek identity.
