The body of Dr Charles McGann of New York was found in a hotel bed in Boston after an apparent morphine or narcotic overdose. Police report unclear circumstances and awaiting coroner conclusions.
Dr Charles F McCann of 104 East Six teenth Street New York was found dead in bed in Room 61 at Hotel Reynolds about 6 o clock yesterday afternoon. A morphine or narcotic overdose is suspected but autopsy will determine cause. The physician, 33, was last seen leaving his room Tuesday night and a card with his name was found in his pocket. The body will be sent to New York for burial after release by the medical examiner.
A parade of Republican marching clubs in New Haven on October 28 was disrupted by two assaults. An unknown man, possibly from the Meriden McKinley Marching Club, was shot in the left forearm near Quinnipiac bridge. Alderman Edward I. Atwater was struck in the head by a brick and severely injured. Detectives investigate.

The Post reports Pug Javins, now in Covington Jail, and two Cincinnati men Dwyer and Armstrong were hired to throw eggs at Carlisle. They each received $5 for the act, with a $0 prize for hitting Carlisle in the head. A Mt Adams barkeeper is said to have handled the money.

Senator George F Hoar Massachusetts famed representative in the upper chamber was greeted with affection at Music Hall last night. He stood six minutes beside the speaker's desk bowing to cheers and shouts as President Lawrence introduced him and he began his campaign speech. The audience rose throughout the hall in a fervent display of support.
