A Handle railroad passenger train and a Michigan Central freight train collided at Joliet crossing in Chicago area. Both engines were wrecked. A flagman perished by burns, an engineer and a brakeman killed, another engineer and a fireman seriously injured. Passengers shaken, one seriously hurt.
