Morrie Ala Oct 26 A massive Mobile blaze destroyed a shingle mill three cotton compresses five cotton warehouses with 6680 bales of cotton the Gulf City Oil Mill the Mobile Ice Factory and several steamboats and freight cars. Fire began at Stewart Bulis spindle mill and raged under strong northwest wind, threatening most northern town blocks before being stopped by St Anthony street. Losses totaled about 650000 with warehouses and cotton heavily insured and notable damage to riverfront wharf property.
