A set of history making letters describing the American War Cabinet and Woodrow Wilson in secret meetings is published. They were written by Franklin K. Lane former Interior Secretary 1913 to 1920 and edited by his widow.
A schooner captain and crew reach an understanding to avoid ongoing wrangling and proceed to beat rivals. They plan to remove old ballast and sail with a lighter load. Canadian authorities reportedly waive a breach of rules in the exchange.
Beach patrol crews from station No. 2 aided the fishing schooner Alice from Portsmouth bound for Gloucester. The craft was near wreck danger as breakers and rocks thundered nearby. Coast guards lines secured the vessel and two lifeboats towed her seaward to safety despite a fresh wind. The captain was believed unfamiliar with the coast.
Forecast indicates generally pleasant conditions with noticeably higher temperatures than the prior day. Skies remain mostly clear with light winds, and no precipitation is expected across the region.

In Wareham, James Pires, a Portuguese hog worker, pleaded guilty to second degree murder and received a life term from Judge Nelson P. Brown. He killed Joseph Pina, a fellow countryman, in their Wareham shanty after a night of drinking. Pires fired three shots, two hitting Pina in the abdomen.
Wing Ty a 17 year old Chinese girl drowned herself in the Pasig River after a harsh whipping by her mother for bobbing her hair and cutting skirts to the flapper fashion. Police said the punishment triggered her act of self harm.
New Bedford reports former State Senator Charles L. Gifford leading Lily F. Darcy for the Republican nomination in the 16th district by about 500 votes with Darcy carrying New Bedford 2926 to 1298. the contest fills the unexpired Walsh term.
Chicago November 24 United News reports a railroad names a dining car after the late Dan Healey a renowned dining car conductor. The Pioneer Limited route from Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul honors Healey with gilt lettering on the car marking a first of its kind.
The schooner Henry Ford will race the Bluenose tomorrow off Gloucester after a dinner at Jonathan Raymond's home. The crew and Captain Morrissey voted to return to their craft following a meeting held after the meal.
