Parade of 6000 Yale Students Closes Bi-centennial Day
New Haven Oct 24 Yale’s bi centennial pageant closed with a grand parade of 6000 students and graduates. Visitors from Harvard Princeton Trinity and Wesleyan joined Yale’s body in a two mile procession lit by orange lanterns and hundreds of electric lights. Civil and university leaders watched as a spectacular display of loyalty and school spirit filled the streets.

Two Men Hurt by Fall at Academy of Music
At the Academy of Music John Silk and Joseph Wood, stage hands, were injured during a drop mechanism failure. Silk fell from a height and collided with Wood beneath, leaving both with broken or displaced ribs and serious injuries. Silk has a crushed left foot and facial injuries.
