Extend West End line to boost Boston growth and travel

West End Street Railway seeks an elevated line extension along Henderson Avenue to connect cities and towns with Boston. Advocates argue easier rapid transit raises property values citywide, boosts trade, and brings outlying residents into the urban core, citing New York fare changes as precedent. The plan envisions depots at Summer or Avon streets and a linkage to Park Square, Old Colony and Boston & Albany lines, claiming public benefit outweighs cost.
