Political faith and slavery resolution quoted by Van Buren

Isaac Hill attests that Van Buren supported a resolution declaring Congress cannot regulate domestic slavery issues in states. The resolution condemns abolitionist efforts to impose federal action and asserts state sovereignty, warning such efforts threaten happiness and Union stability.
