The New England recipients include Angienette M. Frazer of West Quincy a silver medal and pension for saving a fireman on January 16 1907 in Allston. Alexander Morton Sr of Carbon Hill Illinois earned bronze and 1000 for saving a drowning man at Revere Beach. Howard I Davis of West Haven won bronze and 1215 for rescuing a boy from a burning building on March 24 1911. Cirlo Achille of Springfield bronze for saving a fellow workman from drowning on December 12 1910. Louis J Bruya of Montpelier Vermont bronze and 1000 for saving an aged man from death under a train on May 11 1910. Walter E Baker of Burlington Vermont bronze and 2000 for saving two girls from drowning on July 20 1908. Patrick H Campbell of Worcester awarded for saving a drowning man on August 17 1909.
The Boston Post report claimed a murder in Lynnfield but Wakefield police found no tragedy. Investigators determined the supposed victims and suspects did not exist outside the minds of the originators of the hoax.
