Disunion Critics and Radical Faction Claims in South Carolina

The text criticizes Radical faction leaders in South Carolina for disloyalty and manipulation, arguing they block Southern readmission to the Union while pushing race based voting and social upheaval. It cites Gen McGowan as saying the Radicals oppose both leaving and returning to the Union. The piece contends Northerners seek cooperation to bear national debt and rebuild labor systems, contrasting with Radical aims to suppress order and expand voter rolls among Black citizens, risking renewed conflict to retain power.
