Jury Selections Hampered by Sherman Law Objections
The jury pool faced heavy challenges as many potential jurors were eliminated or disqualified. Objections to the Sherman anti trust law hindered acceptance of about a dozen jurors who might have been suitable. Harvey B Fisk urged the rule of reason while others questioned New Haven’s alleged unlawful combination. William Rockefeller watched proceedings closely as counsel debated the remaining talesmen.
