Court Proceedings Devise Bazaine Testimony Amid Metz Dispatches

The Grand Tri anon court room was crowded as Bazaine faced questions about his knowledge of MacMahon's subordination and the dispatches. He denied any telegram appointing him Generalissimo and read a Prussian dispatch to the German Ambassador. Today's sessions were viewed unfavorably for Bazaine. Thiers plans a banquet for political friends in the Assembly Saturday. The Bonapartists reportedly contributed about a third of radical vote in the recent elections.
