W H Brown a Los Angeles Times teamster testified in the McNamara trial identification. Brown known as Billy Brown worked in the Times stock department, delivering paper rolls, and was escorted to the courtroom by Assistant District Attorney Ford.
The district attorney outlined that James B. McNamara conducted a personal check of the rear of the plant near an alley the day before the blast. Brown, in court, stood by as a potential identification target but refused to discuss the purpose or confirm an attempted identification.
Los Angeles reports two days of court activity as counsel argued for and against allowing Nelson to be excused. The proceeding continued on page 66 fourth column.
