Brockton October 13 The executive committee of the Lasters Union calls a mass meeting Friday to decide whether to strike in sympathy with the sole fasteners. Arraigned for Assault on Wife in Nonantum Home

James Seery, over 70, was arraigned in Newton Police Court on charges of assaulting his wife at their Nonantum home. He faces $3000 bail with case continued to Oct 23. Mrs. Seery, 65, is in Newton Hospital in danger after a fall and alleged kerosene obstruction.

Man Falls From Moving Train Ends Fatal at Somerville Hospital

A man identified as Charles Carson of Charlestown died after leaping from a moving Fitchburg railroad train between Union Square Station and the Washington Street bridge last Monday evening. He died en route to Somerville Hospital where his body awaits identification.

New York drummer Harry Stack reported to Police Captain Bartlett that he was robbed of 45 to 50 dollars by a young woman at Crafts Hotel in Lynn. He said they drank together and she sat on his knee before leaving for an engagement as soon as money vanished. Police seek the local elocutionist.
