Albany October 9 The Rice will case postponement to today led to a discovery of a legal tangle that could let Albert T. Patrick avoid the electric chair not by a Court of Appeals reversal but by technicalities. Nearly 18 months have passed since his expected execution for the murder of William M. Rice. The court records show no such appeal exists and the deadline for filing appeals has passed, leaving a troublesome issue in reimposing the death sentence.
