Milk price clash urged by consumers fight extortion
The farmers have raised milk prices by seven eighths of a cent per quart while the Milk Trust has increased consumer prices by 2 cents per quart, more than twice the farmers’ rise. A fair price at stores is 6 cents and 7 cents delivered. Consumers should refuse the extra cent, likening it to extortion and predicting victory in the fight.
