Gentlemen complained they could not hear the report by Mr Shaw and Mr Bailey as they read it. The Committee stated they had worked a week to gather information and believed the presented course the only viable option. Bonds were subscribed by all trustees as a security measure. E Sewall moved the report be accepted. Bemis urged faith in the dealings with Ogdensburg and Rutland roads, noting Gov. Smith’s losses, and predicted long term value.
