Letter on Brooklyn scandal criticises Plymouth Church actions

Dr Leonard Bacon publishes another letter denouncing Plymouth Church for refusing Tilton trial on West charges and arguing church authorities fostered the scandal’s growth. He says Beecher’s vindication would have been easier with direct discipline. Messia Woodruff and Robinson became bondsmen for the indictment against Moulton for slander as Ovington denies Mrs Tilton writing a reply to her husband’s last statement.
