Washington October 5 The favorable trend in President Wilsons condition continued with indications that attendees believed he was on the road to recovery. Dr Grayson at 10 oclock tonight issued a bulletin noting the President had a restful and fairly comfortable day.
King Albert and Queen Elizabeth attend a grand admiration mass at the cathedral with Cardinal Mercier officiating. The event includes royal attendance and a degree presentation from Harvard, followed by a governor's dinner where Mercier is a guest.

Paris October 5 Colonel E M House leader of the American peace delegation and Mrs House left Paris tonight for Brest. They will sail Monday on the Northern Pacific. House said plans on returning to the United States were uncertain and he hoped to see President Wilson soon whether in Washington or Europe. The supreme council would likely continue sessions in Paris for an indefinite period and Wilson might convene the League of Nations executive council in Paris after ratification of the German treaty.
In a sudden Downing Street moment, the long railway strike neared resolution surprising a gathering on a quiet Sunday. The Associated Press reports a dramatic development ending a crisis that had paralyzed parts of Britain and sparked widespread uncertainty.
In St Albans Vermont on October 5 a fire in the Foundry Manufacturing Company building caused about $40,000 damage. Mrs Francis Miller, a lunch room cook, tried to clean a stove with gasoline and was badly burned. Several stores and the Central Vermont Railway claims department office in the building were damaged.
