Victim in Canton Auto Wreck Identified

Miss Margaret Dooley aged 17 of 116 Greenwood Street Dorchester was instantly killed when a touring car turned a somersault on Greenlodge Street Canton. Three others were seriously injured including C M Coldstead Atlantic with a broken arm and facial bruises Virginia Reed 11 Gleason Street Dorchester with internal injuries Roland Lloyd Smith Everett with facial and hand injuries. The Blue Hill Street Railway car assisted after the upset caused by trying to make a short turn to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

Automobile Crash Near Ponkapoag Post Office Leaves One Dead

Co M Colstead of Atlantic drove a car with Miss Dooley and Miss Virginia Reed of Dorchester in the rear seat. The vehicle skidded on Greenlodge street while avoiding an electric car, turned over, and pinned Miss Dooley beneath it. Titus, the electric car operator, braked but could not stop in time. Miss Reed was rushed to her home for treatment by Dr. C S Porter, while Colstead and Smith were treated and expected to recover.

Villa fears big revolt as 10000 men mutiny in Mexico

In Juarez on October 5 General Francisco Villa rushed back to Torreon to suppress a growing mutiny among northern troops after 10,000 revolting soldiers and desertion by General Manuel Chao. Losses from Herrerra and Arrieta forces increased Villa's alarm amid mounting general discontent.
