Acquitted of Murder in New Hampshire Trial
Job Clay of Lee was found not guilty of second degree murder in the death of his wife Rhoda Etta Clay near Lee on February 27. The jury delivered verdict after about two and a half hours. Clay was discharged and returned home while the defense argued pneumonia from exposure and a washout fall caused death.
Bankers reaffirm officers at American Bankers Association
At the closing session the American Bankers Association confirmed officers chosen earlier. Alvah Trowbridge of North American Trust Company New York remains president, Myron T Herrick of Society of Savings Cleveland is vice president, and Caldwell Hardy of Norfolk National Bank is chairman of the executive committee. The executive council was asked to donate 5000 dollars to the Galveston relief fund.
