Danbury Connecticut October 4 A farmer Thomas Gurno plotted against his wife and her companion Frank Gillett in a menacing confrontation. Gurno fired missing his aim and the two men fought over the revolver and knife until police intervened. Both men were injured but not seriously. The incident followed an earlier elopement five months prior in Pennsylvania. Miss Van Tassell seeks guardian removal and access to an inherited fortune held by guardian Mr Kelly.

Depew Engaged To Miss Edith Collins In New York

Widow Caroline Hagan Arrested for Contempt of Court

Caroline A. Hagan widow of Senator Edward P. Hagan was arrested in New York on contempt of court for failing to appear for examination about a $30,000 trust fund raised by Tam many district leaders after her husband’s 1893 death. The case stemmed from an April 15 judgment of $1711.67 by Louise Borges & Co. for dresses and apparel from 1893 to 1894. She was paroled to her lawyers.

Obituary of William Fisher Former Cambridge Resident Dies at 58

William Fisher died Saturday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital. He lived in Waltham and later Cambridge, and belonged to Post 30 G A R of Cambridge. He served in Company G Nineteenth Massachusetts Regiment during the late war. He was 58.
