The 22 year old Yankee girl, cousin of Consuelo Vanderbilt, duchess of Marlborough, has left her husband. She hails from New York and Newport and is daughter of Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt of The Breakers, Newport.
Laszlo Szechenyi, a chamberlain to the Austrian Emperor, aged 28, is noted for once fighting a duel with Aurel Batonyi.
Miss Vanderbilt owns about 15 million dollars in her own right, mainly in railroad stocks, a larger personal fortune than the duchess of Marlborough or Anna Gould.

James Be Downey senior boseman of Tingine 6 Leverett Street near 86 Harrison Avenue was shot in the abdomen at 11 10 last night and is dying at the Relief Hospital. Clement Yore of 156 St Botolph Street is jailed at Station 4 charged with firing the shot. Downey and Yore are both married. Downey and a fellow fireman were dining after a theatre when the incident occurred.
Miss Florence Juyman of Boston, a prominent summer resident, died this afternoon in Newport. She was the daughter of the late Charles KF. and Susan Powell Lyman of Boston, a devout Catholic active in charitable work. She is survived by her brother Charles F. Lyman of Boston and a niece Miss Annie Lyman, also of Boston.
