Death of Harry Wright Ends Noted Baseball Pioneer

Harry Wright died in Atlantic City after a lingering illness. Born in Sheffield England January 10 1835 he moved to New York as a youth and pursued jewelry before turning to cricket and baseball. Wright captained the Cincinnati Red Stockings and Boston teams helping to shape early professional baseball.
