A riot broke out in London as police clashed with suffragists at the Women’s Social and Political Union headquarters in Kingsway. Beatrice Saunders and Harriet Roberts Kerr were rearrested under the cat and mouse act during the incident.
Mrs Saunders and Miss Kerr received 15 and 12 months respectively for conspiracy at the London Assize Court on June 17.
