Millionaire New York sportsman David Bruce-Brown and his mechanician Tony Scudalari were killed and fatally injured respectively when a Fiat car at the Waiwatosa course blew a rear tire and plowed into a ditch and field on the eve of the Vanderbilt Cup race.
In Haverhill Massachusetts a 12 year old boy Richard Ingram was riding a garbage cart when he was thrown beneath its wheels. He sustained multiple injuries and is dying at City Hospital this evening.
With the exception of Roumania all Balkan nations mobilize but no sign of outbreak. A Constantinople despatch reports Bulgaria and Serbia have not communicated and no major power plan has been announced.
