Parents Fined After Street Boy Raid Thursday Night
Police raided News Paper Row Piealley Common and Hanover Street Sunday night catching twenty boys who were later released on appearance. Only the parents were fined for allowing the children out late. Many parents admit providing money for selling papers or matches while the kids smoke or play cards. Captain Donovan says raids will continue to keep the streets clear. Three boys were under seven and a few just over fourteen.

Chinamen in Court Face Continued Hearings
Seventy four Chinese men arrested after gambling implements were found appeared in Municipal Court yesterday. Their cases were continued to next Monday at the request of Moy Shere Foo, a respected laundryman and Mt. Vernon Church Chinese Sunday School member, who claimed his countrymen were not guilty and would appeal. He maintained no gambling implements were in their possession and said the slips were ordinary Chinese business tickets.

Monument marks Standish landing site near Squantum
In a dawn to dusk celebration at Squantum near Quincy on Sept 30, 1621, about 3000 people gathered to lay a cairn and honor Captain Myles Standish. Dignitaries including Mrs Nelson V Titus, Charles Francis Adams, and local groups joined the ceremony honoring Standish and his alliance with the Squanto.
