Pitcher formerly of the Union Bank of Providence R I to seven years in the penitentiary for bringing stolen money into Canada. Fred L. Warner a well known West Somerville fish dealer living on Elmwood street is believed to have died by his own hand Saturday. His overcoat and hat were found at the Boston and Lowell drawbridge on the Charles River with a note asking their return to his wife. A letter left for Mrs. Warner stated his intention to destroy himself, with business troubles cited as a probable cause.

At 8 30 this morning the first east bound fast mail train left Van Buren street depot for New York over the Lake Shore road. It will run daily to New York in twenty seven hours and carry no passengers. The train consists of white mail cars and mirrors the west bound mail service.

A separate Oregon Short Line derailment near Pocatello Idaho claims three crewmen and leaves thirty cars wrecked. In Worcester Massachusetts a derrick collapse on a bridge project kills one workman and injures two others.
In Newton on Sept 30 services concluded a two day commemoration of St Mary's Church cornerstone laid seventy five years earlier.
