Providence colonel Elisha Dyer Sr multimillionaire and former governor died at his Power Street home at 10 45 pm of heart failure. He had Thanksgiving dinner with his son Col H A Dyer and was born in Newport November 28 1839. Survived by widow and two sons Col H A and Elisha Jr he was Brown graduate 1858 and University of Gulffen graduate 1860 and a Civil War veteran.
