Former Mayor John F. Fitzgerald spoke to two gatherings while rivals rested. An open letter from Charles R. Saunders urged Mayor Hibbard to withdraw in favor of James J. Storrow. Hibbard replied he is in the fight to stay and opposes withdrawal.
In Lincoln Storrow spent a calm day with campaign manager Edmund Billings planning for the coming contest. Fitzgerald drew support from Hebrew voters and the Douglas Club rally, while rival Taylor and Cummings offered little public action.
In 1884, bos ton resident Mr Anderson died without a will. An administrator stated the two sons were the only heirs. His estate included Middlesex County land sold as house lots. Years later a guardian appeared for a third son, insane for years, who owned one third of each lot. Some owners held title insurance and were paid. Others paid one third more than original cost. William Stackpole of Manison street shot himself in the right temple with a .32 calibre revolver while alone in his room. His wife heard the report, found him unconscious, and he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. The bullet was removed and he is expected to recover.
Frank A. Robart who runs a jewelry store at 59 Beacon Street reported jewelry worth 400 dollars missing yesterday. He found the loss after returning from the stairs where he met a peculiar stranger while a woman was in the store.
Balloons at Fort Hancock proving grounds near Sandy Hook were exploded by large naval guns at about 1000 feet altitude. The aerial targets were used to test anti aircraft fire and the demonstration was deemed a big success as balloons collapsed and dropped to earth.

Wood End life savers failed to launch a lifeboat. the vessel later washed ashore and was towed off by Boston tugs after pumping kept up.

WALTHAM Nov 28 The police believe Tobey Le Blanc brother in law of Clarence F Glover is mentally unbalanced and may be examined by alienists after being jailed for contempt for refusing to answer at the Glover murder inquest He paced his cell shouted for Elmore and begged for pills while pastoring remarks urged leniency toward Hattie Le Blanc in church service until facts emerge
Tobey LeBlanc remains under guard after a night of questioning over the murder of Clarence F. Glover. His sister Mrs. Glover plans divorce proceedings, and LeBlanc repeatedly demanded to see lawyer Elmore while refusing to answer key questions.
