Fire rescues six niños at Merrimac Street blaze
At 8 o'clock this morning North End patrolmen Connolly O'Donnell and Cook rushed to 55 Merrimac Street and saved six children overwhelmed by smoke. They also assisted Philip Palma and wife and about 30 Italian lodgers on the two upper floors. The fire, on the first floor in Dr H J Schenck's dog fancier shop, was extinguished before reaching the upper levels.

Eight Horses Burned In Cambridge Fire At Stable
A two story wooden stable on Benny street Cambridgeport housed University City Laundry owned by Alden Spear & Sons. Eight horses burned with 23 horses and wagons inside. Fires Threaten Boston & Maine Freight Yards
