In New York on November 27, a suit to recover 350000 dollars was filed in the U S Circuit Court by Charles Colne and Edward H Carmicke against the Gatling Gun Company of Hartford Connecticut. They allege the company refused to honor an October 1887 contract authorizing transfer of patent rights to France for 50000 pounds and supplying guns and accessories on request, causing the plaintiffs loss.
