An eight year old boy Archie Aywin of Peabody died at Newton City Hospital after a roadster crash into a tree at Needham Heights yesterday around 3 PM. His father Louis Aywin, 40, was seriously injured and expected to survive. two others escaped serious harm.

London reports the destruction of the battleship Bulwark off Sheerness with over 800 dead and only 14 survivors. Officials suspect an internal magazine explosion possibly caused by a submarine attack, raising fears of German undersea threats near London and prompting a naval inquiry.
