Big Bond Loan Bid Ties Up 50 Million Dollar Issue

The Stewart syndicate won the entire 50 million dollar new bond loan. 8 million in gold was deposited in New York as the first installment, with 5 million in bonds ready for delivery and the remaining 45 million to follow after December 3. The syndicate projects 50 to 55 million in net gold to the Treasury, aided by deposits from multiple banks and cities. Three selling agents were appointed to market portions of the issue at rising prices, while part of the bonds may go to London.
